Overview

The alarming rates of global COVID-19 (SARS Cov-19 infections), and the lack of adequate guidelines for such novel infection, have created a huge challenge for the frontline soldiers, i.e., healthcare providers, regarding the apt management of the condition. Although COVID- 19 primarily impacts the respiratory system, its effects are complicated by a multitude of conditions, such as diabetes, causing several complications including cardiac arrest. Furthermore, infection in patients from different age groups and special populations, including pregnant women and children, has necessitated adequate considerations while treating individual patients. Hence, a multidisciplinary approach to COVID-19 is crucial to be able to manage the condition accordingly.

In this comprehensive course, we aim to provide an overall picture to prepare you for different case scenarios that you may face while managing COVID-19 patients. In this course, you will get an understanding about different management considerations, such as diabetes, pregnancy, cardiac issues and paediatrics. The course will also provide insights in specific specialty based aspects, including radiology and anaesthesiology. With the escalating trends in incoming cases, the course will also prepare you for emergency ICU set-ups and mechanical ventilation for COVID-19 patients.
